COMMON
... EIDER KING EIDER

Common Eider King Eider è una collaborazione in continua evoluzione che include arte e musica e coinvolge Rob Fisk (Badgerlore, ex-Deerhoof, and Six Organs of Admittance/Hexadic collaborator), Vicky Fong, Andee Connors (A Minor Forest), Andrew Weathers e Blaine Todd.

COMMON EIDER, KING EIDER is an evolving art and music collaboration between Rob Fisk (Badgerlore, Six Organs of Admittance/Hexadic collaborator), Vicky Fong, Andee Connors (A Minor Forest), Andrew Weathers and Blaine Todd. A potent mix of blackened ambience, drone and silence incorporating viola, vast chorale arrangements, and field recordings.
Labels representing CEKE since their inception in 2007 include Cold Spring, Pesanta Urfolk, Black Horizons, Root Strata, Sol y Nieve, and their own imprint Caribou People.
Swelling vocal abstractions augmented with lush blankets of layered viola stretched out of time- hushed, yet unnerving to experience. Terrifying, beautiful, spare, the sound of light nullified and at the same time a celebration of the power and beauty of the sun.

“If you like shit like Sunn O))), Swans, GSY!BE, Thisquietarmy, Lustmord, Haxan Cloak, Mamiffer and Sutekh Hexen, then Common Eider, King Eider, will take you on an unforgettable voyage through the most remote corners of your mind and deep into the most hidden crevices of your soul, tunneling into you until your ego completely disintegrates” - CVLT Nation
“The project's latest album, Unhuulda, has a heavy environmental focus and its five movements sound like a dark forest evening” - Noisey
“As with a lot of Fisk’s work (Badgerlore, Deerhoof) there’s the feeling of the music summoning up vast untamed tracts of wilderness, the unfathomable deep of the lakes or endless forests, or the sheer violence of nature that can catch one completely unawares” - Incendiary Mag

ELDER SISTER

Delivered to you from the oceanic land of California, Los Angeles native Jane Paik can now be found habitating in the City of Magic - Torino, Italy.

She has toured and travelled all over the United States and a number of other countries throughout the 90’s and early 2000’s in various manners of band and dans. She has performed on bills with diverse acts such as Kim Gordon, Deerhoof, Liars, Bikini Kill, Joanna Newsom, Tom Carter/Pat Murano and Lucky Dragons in all spots from contemporary art museums and rock clubs to hole-in-the-wall punk spaces.

Her current project, Elder Sister, is a stripped down musical landscape constructed of composed and improvised songs that highlight her unique voice and interaction with text and sounds. Live shows are dynamic and hybrid, employing a stage presence that sets her apart from most traditional, or even non-traditional, performers and musicians.
