Tony MacAlpine Short Bio:
Tony MacAlpine è ampiamente conosciuto come un virtuoso della chitarra. Edge of Insanity, uno dei suoi dodici album da solista, è ancora considerato uno dei dieci migliori album di chitarra di tutti i tempi. A parte il suo lavoro da solista, Tony ha anche fatto parte di diversi super gruppi rock tra cui Planet X con Derek Sherinian e Virgil Donati, PSMS (Portnoy / Sheehan / MacAlpine / Sherinian), così come il CAB dei nominati ai Grammy con il bassista Bunny Brunel e il batterista Dennis Chambers. MacAlpine ha anche trascorso sette anni a suonare la chitarra e le chiavi nella band dei tour di Steve Vai.
Dopo una battaglia con il cancro che ha messo da parte il chitarrista per gran parte del 2015 e del 2016, Tony restituisce un buono stato di salute e il suo nuovo album Death of Roses, in uscita dal 1 settembre 2017, con un tour nordamericano a settembre e ottobre.

Tony MacAlpine is widely known as a guitar virtuoso who is just as skilled on the keys. Edge of Insanity, one of his twelve solo albums, is still considered as one of the top ten shred guitar albums of all time. Aside from his solo work, Tony has also been part of several rock supergroups including Planet X with Derek Sherinian and Virgil Donati, PSMS (Portnoy/Sheehan/MacAlpine/Sherinian), as well as the Grammy nominated CAB with bassist Bunny Brunel and drummer Dennis Chambers. MacAlpine also spent seven years playing guitar and keys in Steve Vai‘s touring band.
Following a battle with cancer which sidelined the guitarist for much of 2015 and 2016, Tony returns a clean bill of health, and his new album Death of Roses, out September 1, 2017, with a North American tour in September and October.
