Cosmetic è una band nata nei primi 2000 sulle colline romagnole. Emergono nel 2009 con ‘Non siamo di qui’ (La Tempesta) uno dei due dischi che li ha esposti maggiormente, assieme al più celebre ‘Conquiste’ (2012). ...Da sempre lo scopo della band è riuscire a fondere i suoni stranianti di My Bloody Valentine, Polvo o Sonic Youth con un approccio ironico ed esistenziale alle liriche in lingua italiana. Nonostante nel complesso resti una forma espressiva piuttosto introversa, la loro storia vede gemme di noisepop orecchiabili e radiofoniche - per molti, ma non per tutti.
Il nuovo capitolo ‘Plastergaze’ (To Lose La Track/Lady Sometimes) affonda a piene mani nella materia shoegaze. Dalle accezioni più leggere e dream pop, fino ai bombardamenti sonici tipici della band, questa volta maggiormente arricchiti di synth e armonie vocali.
Con più di 300 concerti all’attivo in Italia e qualche apparizione all'estero, la formazione dal vivo è ormai rodata: Alice imbraccia il basso e canta su quasi tutti i brani, Straccia è pienamente padrone di chitarra e synth, mentre i fratelli Bartolini restano saldamente al comando di una combo che non si è mai risparmiata sui palchi, nemmeno quando gli arti ingessati erano due! PLASTERGAZE!

2014 - 2015 | "Meglio Soli" first italian LP out for Tirreno Dischi. Big italian tour. Critical success.
2016 | "Modern Times" EP english again. Out for Riff Recs. 20 gigs in 2 months.
2016 | "No Big Deal". New LP out for Riff Recs (ITA) and Wiener Records (USA). More than 100 show in one year
2017 | “Bungalow Kids”. Collection of demos, b-sides and live. Italian tour.
2018 | Currently in studio for the new EP “Life in a day”
