Due musiciste pop cresciute a Cape Town che abbandonano un contratto con una major discografica e per inseguire il sogno rock’n’roll di una vita on the road. Buttano chitarre e rossetti in una Station Wagon e si lanciano in una spericolata avventura in Europa, che le porterà ad attraversare il vecchio continente in lungo e in largo, dai pub più loschi della Gran Bretagna alle vaste distese dell’Europa meri...dionale. Le due belle sorelle Mie e Mille, nate in Francia ma cresciute in Sudafrica, hanno mosso i primi passi nell’industria discografica a soli otto anni, diventando in breve tempo un conosciuto duo di bambine prodigio, che le ha portate a un contratto discografico con Universal all’età di soli dodici anni, con la quale ottengono 5 brani in top 10 e centinaia di migliaia di visualizzazioni su youtube. Nel 2015, poco più che ventenni, hanno deciso di abbandonare la carriera pop per lanciarsi in un’avventura on the road, che le ha portate nel circuito underground del Regno Unito, con lo spettacolo rivistato in chiave pop punk abbinato a una presenza scenica mozzafiato e a una serie di numeri da cabaret e interazione con il pubblico, per uno show divertentissimo che non assomiglia a nulla visto in Italia finora.

Armed with unforgettable melodies and catchy choruses, The SoapGirls energy, rawness and authenticity live, has earned a formidable reputation.

Performing internationally and continuously since 2015, these fearless French born sisters Millie and Mie, have slayed critics and earned a global dedicated group of followers known as the ‘The SoapSuds’, some of who follow the band across the UK and Europe.

The SoapGirls are society’s rejects and their punk credentials were rubber stamped by scintillating performances at many festivals including the legendary Rebellion Festivall and Camden Rocks festival last year and such was the their success that they have inevitably been asked to perform again 2019 whilst on their current tour Sniff My Strap promoting their much anticipated latest album Elephant in the Room.

The SoapGirls write outsider anthems that are androgynous, audacious and straight from the heart. Following the release of their album Societys Rejects, the band have appeared in Classic Rock Magazine, The Mirror and Vive Le Rock, while ttheir last two singles were played on BBC Radio and play listed by Planet Rock Radio as well as various other stations.
