XANAX PARTY is a club night that takes place in Turin every Thursday night at Astoria. The "Xanax" is run by Andrea and Gabriele who dj, promote and take care of the booking since 2005. The night focuses on music coming out of Uk, Us, Europe and Italy from the sixties to the present: garage, psychedelic, post-punk, funk, art rock, new wave, no wave, indie-pop, electro-synth, shoegaze etc.. Bands and deejays that are booked to play are mostly up-coming and unsigned. The purpose of XANAX is to ...promote an exclusive PARTY atmosphere featuring schizophrenic and psychedelic sound selections that you wouldn't listen at your average "indie disco" club night.
